Maverick dancers asked to teach dance to Stratton dance team

GOODLAND, Kansas – The Northwest Kansas Technical College Maverick dance team has been hired to choreograph and teach the Stratton High dance team a competition routine. They will spend two, hour-long sessions with the Stratton dancers at the Goodland RCDS studio. After the Stratton High School dance team contacted the RCDS owner, the Maverick dancers were then approached to take on the choreography project. Captain Chelsey Horney, Co-Captain Summer Werner, and Lieutenant Jordan Knitig took the lead to teach the Mavericks' tryout dance to the Stratton's Dance Team.

Northwest Tech coach Tiffini Unger said, "It's so nice to see dancers come together, networking, and helping each other out. Maverick Dancers, RCDS, and Stratton Dance Team, we all share the same passion for dance. That's what the art of dance is all about!"
